When building your business online, you don’t want to jump in without first understanding the basic “rules of the game”. Understanding the “3 C’s” of attraction marketing will get you off to a great start.
Before we get into that, let’s quickly define what we mean by “attraction marketing”. Attraction marketing allows you to attract qualified prospects to you by providing educational information that is valuable for your target market.
To succeed at attraction marketing, you will want to follow the following principles:
1. Commitment
Be committed to learning everything you can about internet and attraction marketing. There is a ton of great information available online, but you can get easily overwhelmed and end up spinning your wheels.
Anyone who is serious about their business should also join a training program so they can learn all about attraction marketing and how to implement it successfully. This will shorten the learning curve tremendously and accelerate results.
2. Credibility
Attraction marketing is all about creating value for your target market so they approach you and initiate the business relationship. Ultimately, people are going to be attracted to those who have credibility.
So how do you achieve credibility in the online world? By presenting yourself as a professional who is willing and able to help people with their needs. You lose credibility when you flash your products and services in people’s faces. Instead, brand yourself as someone of value, and let your products and services take a backseat. Come from an honest place of wanting to help others, and your credibility will shine through.
And when people perceive you as someone with credibility and integrity, it will naturally follow that they will want to do business with you. That might not mean they will do business with you right away. But it will mean that you can work together and support one another to reach your goals. Which brings me to the third “C”.
3. Collaboration
Interacting with others is at the heart of what Web 2.0 is all about. By connecting with people online, we shape the face of the Internet. The Internet also gives us the opportunity to build a community of collaboration and mutual support.
I can’t tell you how many amazing people I have met online. And the strongest bonds I’ve developed are with those I’ve talked to offline. Obviously you aren’t going to talk with everyone, but you will come across people with whom you would like to take things to the next level. It might be someone who’s advice you are seeking, or someone you genuinely think you can help. Or it might be someone you would like to partner with in some way.
There are unlimited possibilities to the kinds of collaborative relationships you can develop with people you meet online.
You don’t have to do this alone. There are some great resources, programs, sites, and people here to help you. Take advantage of all that, and your business will not only flourish but be a lot more fun.

Cindy–
This is great advice. I think too often newcomers to attraction marketing think they have to learn all these new skills and become am expert in SEO, article marketing, etc. And while it is good to always broaden one’s skill set, the power of collaboration allows you to get good at one thing at a time and seek the help of others who have mastered the skills you have not yet gotten the hang of.
And that collaboration is like a snowball rolling downhill. It gets bigger and bigger as it goes.

That’s a great point Daryl. Its funny because just yesterday my 8 year old son was asking me why business owners hire other people. I tried to explain how sometimes its best to get the expertise of others, so you can focus on your area of strength. Hiring a web designer is one example, and I know that’s something you’re great at.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
Best wishes,
