If you were starting over, what would you do differently?

Sometimes when I’m feeling a little stuck about what to write about it, I go to one of the best sources of inspiration I know.

I look at surveys I’ve done and see what kinds of questions people have asked. For instance, one of the questions on one of my surveys was…”If you could have a private conversation with me (about your business), what would you want to ask me?”

That’s a great question to include on a survey by the way, because it not only shows you what challenges people have, but it shows you what they regard you as an expert in. Just replace the words (about your business) to whatever is relevant to your niche, e.g. (about your career, health, relationships, etc.).

So I was reviewing some of the questions I got, and one in particular caught my eye.

“How you put things into place to grow your business the way you have, what marketing has helped you most, what was your most difficult experience and how did you handle it and learn from it, and any pitfalls to avoid. If you were starting over again, would you do anything differently?”

Wow! What a great question.

There is so much we can learn by avoiding the mistakes that others have made. And one of the things I’m most passionate about is sharing the mistakes I made so others can avoid them, and shorten their learning curve.

It just seems like the right thing to do. After all, if you were driving down a road and there was a huge pot hole in the road, wouldn’t you want there to be a sign or for the driver in front of you to give you a heads up? I sure would. It would be a much smoother and less expensive ride!

Well, the same goes with our business. I want to show you the mistakes I made so you can avoid them and have an easier go of things.
